MUSIC NOTES from our Choir Director,Linda Spector

The fall Choir schedules are ready!

The Adult Choir will resume practice sessions on September 9, 2009
from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The choir will resume singing at the 10:00 o’clock  
service on the 13th. We would love to invite new singers to come sing
with us and be part of our fun group. There are no prerequisites except
the love of singing. We are very flexible and will work around your schedule. Please give us a try!
  
Exciting news about the Youth Choir....
  
This year we will be expanding our repertoire and building on the sure foundation of the past two years. Our goal is to work on more 2-part music.
  
We are working with the Marlborough Congregational Church on a
choir festival to be held next spring. This should be a wonderful
opportunity for our youth to participate with other churches in a group
and as an independent choir. I am looking forward to being involved
in the planning of this terrific event and our church will begin
rehearsing right away to prepare for it.
  
We invite all children 4th grade and up to come and sing with us. 
 
Signup sheets will be available on Church School Registration Day
on September 13th. Or speak with me after service in Church. We are hoping to raise money for choir robes this year. It will be a good learning experience for our youth, as well.  We will begin singing right after church on September 13, 2009, in the choir loft.
  
We can't forget our Church School Chorus!
  
“Fun” is planning the music to enjoy with all the children of our parish. We will start singing again as soon as Church School resumes (September 20th).  It is always a joy to hear the sweet voices of our children of all ages.
